MEMBERSHIP:</b> The V.P. of Membership being absent there was no report.<br /><br /> <b>TREASURER:</b> Sally presented the September and October balance sheets, the latter showing total assets of $17,004.97. Sally suggested that since the service auction proceeds were less than in former years we should be a little more careful with our spending this year. Sally reported that the club made about $55.00 on the Halloween Party. Sally further reported that Marie asked her to start a sign-up sheet for the Christmas Party at tonight s meeting. Marie has bought large bottles of wine for the party. Cost will be $35 for members and $40 for guests, including wine. The treasurer s report was accepted subject to audit.<br /><br /> <b>V.P. FIELD:</b> Judy reported that she has scheduled a brunch and cruise of L.A. Harbor for January 9th and will pass a sign-up sheet around at tonight s meeting. The cost will be $40. She is also looking into having a bowling night and trying to come up with other events for the winter months which can be held indoors. The board agreed that we should have the camp-out at Prado again which will be held sometime during the first week of June. Judy will also check out Knotts Berry Farm for a possible event.<br /><br /> <b>V.P. SOCIAL:</b> The V.P. for Social being absent there was no further report.<br /><br /> <b>V.P. SPECIAL:</b> Ann handed out copies of her report and went over it with the board. A copy of same will be attached to the minutes. Jane noted that Ted has the proof for the new roster and will be working on getting out a final version.<br /><br /> <b>NACHRICHTEN:</b> Jane thanked the board for the beautiful bouquet which the club sent her. She stated that the closing date for articles for the next Nachrichten will be January 5th. She further advised the board that Sandra Knapp was chosen as Woman of the Year, which is a great honor for GSC. The board fully agreed with Jane s suggestion that the next edition of the Nachrichten have Sandra s picture on the front cover.<br /><br /> <b>PAST PRESIDENT/ADVISOR:</b> Our past president Eleonore Hoesl being absent there was no report.<br /><br /> <b>PRESIDENT:</b> Bob stated that he had been unsuccessful in locating any GSC pins. He proposed that we get together with our contact in Switzerland, where we purchase the pins, and buy some to be gold plated.
